Manuel Rodriguez Animal Figurine Pot - Signed

Born in 1972, Manuel “Manolo” Rodriguez Guillen grew up in Mata Ortiz near the Quezada family and learned pottery first from Juan Quezada Sr., then more advanced techniques from Juan Quezada Jr.

He became known early on for Paquimé-style human and animal figures, later shifting to medium storage jars covered in complex, Escher-like geometric patterns that often include birds, fish, and reptiles. He’s also been an important mentor to many younger Mata Ortiz potters.
